Lomo works are created with plastic cameras and broken lenses exposing 120mm analogue film. I return to the process of making Lomo works when I need breathing space.
The philosophy of making Lomo work is one that engages with a process of inviting in imperfection - the best lomo images for me are far from what would be considered technically good photography. I shoot without framing up, from the hip - often double or triple exposing images taken days or even years apart. Ironically, the final images are tricky to print in the darkroom, requiring a great deal of testing and effort to get them 'right'.
